Yuetong (Winnie) Zhou is pursuing a double major in computer science and international relations at Wellesley College. She is captivated by the intersection of ethics, technological advancement, science policy, and international politics. She has a keen interest in exploring policy solutions and international efforts to contribute to safe, contained, and constructive technological progress, especially in the realms of artificial intelligence and emerging biotechnology. She is recently working on understanding how intellectual property rights dispute between US and China, especially regarding emerging technologies, impacts US-China economic and diplomatic relations. Outside of her academic pursuits, Winnie enjoys spending time with her five cats, taking leisurely walks by Lake Waban, and indulging in musicals and improvisation performances. She is an avid basketball player and hiker. Additionally, as an amateur playback theatre performer, she finds joy in connecting with the audience during playback performances.
