Dylan Shepard is a junior at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University studying both international affairs and economics. He is a Dean's Scholar, the Director of Research at the U.S.-China Strategic Studies Organization (USCSSO), and the Director of Events at the GWU chapter of the Alexander Hamilton Society. He has extensive long-form academic research experience and has presented work at academic conferences. Dylan is currently working with GW faculty on a two-year research inquiry on the intersection between pragmatism and ideology in the Chinese political economy. His writing has appeared in the Financial Times, the Economic Standard, and the webpages of the Property Rights Alliance, USCSSO, and the American Consumer Institute. He grew up overseas in India and China, but has also lived in Michigan and California before moving to Washington.
